Mihali New Haven Concert reviews
Beethoven and ASO NEVER disappoint!
Mihali never disappoints. The way all employees of the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park were courteous and well organized in handling the crowds, added to the ambiance of an amazing performance. A surprise performance came from a trumpet player who came from the audience rather than on-stage, which added to the variety of the performance. The video staff caught the passion of the performers as they played, the guest conductor, Hugh Wolff, was also clearly very passionate about the music being performed, and the guest pianist, Juho Pohjonen was spot-on. Everything about the evening was perfect - the excitement and overwhelming enjoyment from the crowd, the weather, the acoustics were fantastic for an outdoor amphitheatre. We also enjoyed the educational interviews during the intermission, which gives us a greater appreciation for the pieces performed and the instruments that are played. A perfect way to celebrate our anniversary.
